  After completing my educational doctorate degree, my focus now is on using my degree in Leadership and Innovationand integrating it into the digital classroom. My dissertation focused on the effects of curriculum-based movie-making on students 21st century learning skills and science in the middle school classroom. I strive to continuously learn about ways to integrate technology, especially in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) into my classroom and inspire and coach other teachers at my school from the PD I provided. I participated in a Fellowship for CPED/FIPSE Carnegie Project Education Doctorate Research. Researching the Education Doctorate label through Duquesne, Carnegie and ASU. Followed by a Fellowship with the University of Notre Dame's Trustey STEM Fellowship. This was a 3 year commitment to research STEM and best practices in our school along with a cohort of 20 teachers around the nation. In 2019 I had a Computer Technology residency with the University of Notre Dame creating middle school educational content on biometrics, machine learning, Quantum Computers and data and the digital economy alongside Notre Dame's leading professors in their respective fields. For the last 8 years, I have helped integrate a 1:1 iPad program at our school in grades K-8. We did not miss a day for teaching during the COVID-19 Pandemic and were able to provide a true learning experience for our students. I received my Bachelors of Arts in Film/Video production, with an emphasis in animation special effects as an animation cameraman/ optical printer, animation director, and film editor. I worked on feature films, TV promos for Disney, commercials, documentary films and children's videos such as Gymboree and Videosmarts. I won a Copperwing Award at the Phoenix Film Festival in 2005 for "Best Educational Film" and my students got to meet Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgewick. (I am now 1 degree from Kevin Bacon.)
